Global Gathering: NGA presents 1001 Nights with The Destroyers
Birmingham’s New Generation Arts festival doesn’t disappoint this year with another impressive array of some of the city’s brightest emerging talent. The festival, organised by Birmingham City University and supported by the Arts Council celebrates youth, diversity and the rise of digital culture.
The concert promises performances from around the globe: anarchic gypsy punk outfit The Destroyers join formidable Punjabi drum and Bhangra dance crew the Dhol Blasters. The evening also features North Indian classical vocalist Sanchita Pal and Kathak dance, among a host of other artists.
