Integra 2008 brings to Birmingham five leading contemporary music ensembles in an exciting programme of new works and existing repertoire with live electronics, with a special focus on mixed media performances. Alongside the festival, an international conference, “Solving the tensions between musicians and technology”, will take place at Birmingham Conservatoire. Both events are part of Integra, a 3 year EU-funded project led by Birmingham Conservatoire that brings together music ensembles and research centres to promote live electronic music and develop new tools to compose and perform with technology.
